Howard Patterson MS, LCSW

Howard has over thirty years of providing community mental health services. His interest is in a holistic approach to improving mental health (his own and others) by considering care for the body, mind, and spirit as well as familial, societal, and cultural influences. Howard is interested in both Eastern and Western approaches to healing and he encourages his clients to explore what fits their lifestyle and works for them. He considers himself a guide or coach or resource person rather than someone who has all the answers to every problem. He believes in a collaborative approach to developing helpful relationships. Howard enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families to be able to find greater contentment and meaning in their lives and their relationships. Outside the office, Howard enjoys being with family, singing at church and in a community chorus, playing classical guitar, gardening, walking and riding bicycle, doing yoga, and cooking interesting and healthy meals.
